We Are A Full-Service Law Firm

Our law practice may focus on a couple of specific areas of law, but we take professional pride in our ability to answer all the legal needs of our clients.

Proof that we are able to accomplish this goal is evident in the number of our clients who are “repeat customers.” People come to us for help with one legal issue, and they tend to return to us if another legal question comes up in the future.

The other areas of law we practice in include: wills, estate planning and probate; family law and divorce; residential real estate transactions; and employment discrimination.

We encourage you to contact us to schedule a consultation. We would be happy to answer questions about any legal problem you face. Make an appointment at our main office in Nitro or in our satellite office in Charleston.

Wills, Trusts And Probate In West Virginia

We write wills and health care directives and help clients develop a basic estate plan using other instruments like trusts if necessary to best protect their assets. Our lawyers are also available to guide estates through the probate process or handle the distribution of an estate where no will exists.

Family Law And Divorce Cases

Although very selective, we handle some family law matters for clients, including divorces and modifications of existing divorce orders — to change child custody arrangements or child support amounts, for example. We also handle private adoptions and abuse and neglect cases.

Employment Discrimination

Discrimination in employment is illegal if the discrimination is based on: age, sex, pregnancy, race, national origin, disability, religion, blindness or familial status. We help workers who have faced discrimination on the job file claims against their employer under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
