Art Collection
Welcome to the Peyton Law Firm Online Art Gallery. This is just a sampling of the nearly 200 pieces of mostly 20th century American art collected by the founder of our firm, Harvey Peyton. Each piece featured here hangs either in the Charleston or the Nitro offices of the Peyton Law Firm and may be available for personal viewing or loan to academic, civic and cultural-interest groups. The collection, primarily non-objective works with an emphasis in the artists of the Thirties, Forties and Fifties, also features outstanding examples of contemporary work by West Virginia artists.
The gallery is just part of the Peyton Law Firm’s commitment to the people the firm serves. To date, more than $100,000 worth of artwork has been donated to public-access sites such as Sunrise Museum in Charleston and the West Virginia University collection in Morgantown. Additionally, the Peyton Law Firm assists academic endeavors in the study of law via the Tom and Anne Peyton Endowed Scholarship for the West Virginia University College of Law. To benefit the community, the firm granted a $50,000 endowment to the Tri-County YMCA in Putnam County, West Virginia.
